USA Triathlon National Teams

National Team
The primary objective of USA Triathlon’s National Team Program (NTP) is to provide an administrative, performance, and financial support structure to assist athletes in achieving optimal results for themselves and Team USA at the Olympic Games, Pan Am Games, and ITU World Triathlon Series. In order for athletes to excel at these major events, it is essential that they have extensive international competitive experience and exposure to top level ITU World Cup racing with medal winning results. 2016 Olympics - Rio

The announcement made by the President of IOC, Jacques Rogge, was the summit of a path of accomplishments and, above all, the beginning of a trajectory of big opportunities and challenges.
The infrastructure for the preparation of the Games is really impressive. There will be more than 100,000 people involved directly in the organization of the Games, including 70,000 volunteers. Millions in the city, in the country and in the continent will be reached by the games. More than 10,500 athletes of about 205 nations around the world are expected to come to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, besides thousands of media professional, fans of sport and tourists from all over the globe.
In order to receive all the guests, Rio will pass through a transformation without ever losing the Carioca spirit and the Brazilian energy that uplift everyone.
